Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
What is Vora?
Vora is a customer governance platform that transforms passive customers into active stakeholders. Brands use Vora to run verified customer votes, idea challenges, and transparent decision-making processes. Unlike surveys or focus groups, Vora gives customers real influence over business decisions - with blockchain-verified results that prove every voice was counted.

What's included in the free tier?
The Starter plan includes unlimited proposals, all 7 voting strategies, blockchain-verified results on Base L2, real-time analytics, and up to 100 participants. No credit card required.
What should I do first after signing up?
Create your organization space, invite your first 50 most engaged customers, and run your first vote. Use the Seasonal Picker Template to plan it step by step.
Governance & Voting
How does voting work on Vora?
Create a proposal with 2-5 options, choose a voting strategy (Simple Majority, Ranked Choice, Quadratic, etc.), set a quorum and timeline, then share the voting link with your community. Results are published automatically when voting closes.
What voting strategies are available?
Vora supports 7 strategies: Simple Majority, Approval Voting, Ranked Choice, Score Voting, Quadratic Voting, Weighted Voting, and Conviction Voting. Each is designed for different decision types - from simple yes/no choices to complex feature prioritization.
What is a quorum and how should I set it?
A quorum is the minimum number of votes needed for a result to be valid. We recommend 30-40% of eligible voters for most decisions. Too high and legitimate votes fail on technicalities; too low and a small minority determines outcomes.
What are Idea Challenges?
Idea Challenges let customers propose ideas, not just vote on yours. Customers submit proposals, the community votes on them, and winning ideas advance to implementation. It shifts agenda-setting power from the brand to the community.
Prosumer Strategy
What is a prosumer?
A prosumer is a customer who both consumes and produces value for a brand. Unlike passive buyers, prosumers participate in governance, submit ideas, and help shape the brand's direction. The psychological effects - sunk cost, endowment, and identity attachment - create loyalty that competitors cannot replicate with features or price.
What is the Engagement Spectrum?
The Engagement Spectrum is a five-level framework from Level 1 (One-Way Broadcasting) to Level 5 (Full Customer Governance). Most brands operate at Levels 1-2. The opportunity - and competitive moat - lives at Levels 3 and 4. Take the self-assessment to find your level.
What are the proven benefits of co-creation?
Data from governance programs shows: 25-45% reduction in churn among participants, 2.4x purchase rate vs non-participants, 15-25% higher average order value, and 3-4x organic referral rate. Use the ROI Calculator to project your specific numbers.
Blockchain & Trust
Why does Vora use blockchain?
Blockchain makes vote results tamper-proof and independently verifiable. When a customer votes, their participation is recorded on a public ledger that no single party - not Vora, not the brand - can alter. This eliminates the 'trust tax' of skepticism that erodes participation in unverified systems.
Which blockchain does Vora use?
Vora uses Base L2 (a Layer 2 network built on Ethereum) for Starter and Pro tiers, and Ethereum Mainnet for Enterprise. Base provides near-instant confirmation, less than $0.01 per transaction, and full Ethereum security guarantees.
Does blockchain verification cost anything?
No. Blockchain verification is included in all plans, including the free Starter tier. Vora covers all gas fees. Your customers never need cryptocurrency, a wallet, or any blockchain knowledge.
Plans & Pricing
What's the difference between the plans?
Vora has four plans. Starter (Free): all core features to run votes and idea challenges, with participant limits suited to getting started. Growth (EUR 29/mo): more participants plus advanced analytics, XP and badges. Pro (EUR 145/mo): higher limits, rewards, campaigns, automation, custom domain, and priority support. Scale (EUR 349/mo): the highest limits for larger communities. Every plan, including free Starter, includes verified results at no extra cost. See the pricing page for current limits.

Is there enterprise pricing?

Academy & Resources
What is Vora Academy?
Vora Academy is a free educational hub with interactive tools, assessments, and frameworks from 'The New Customer Engagement Era.' It helps you assess your governance readiness, calculate ROI, plan your first vote, and build a prosumer strategy - all before you even sign up.
How do I use the Academy tools?
Each tool is self-contained and interactive. Answer questions, fill in your numbers, or check off items - the tool calculates your results instantly. You can export results as PDF using the print button. No account required (just an email for access).
Can I save or export my results?
Yes. Every tool has a 'Save as PDF' button that produces a clean, branded PDF using your browser's print function. Results are also saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits.
What do my assessment scores mean?
Each tool has its own scoring guide with specific level descriptions and recommendations. Generally: lower scores identify opportunities (not failures), and the gap analysis tells you exactly what to do next. The tools are designed to be honest, not flattering.
